Tarsier in the Philippines

Have you seen this Philippines Tarsier before? The Philippines Tarsier is a tiny animal that has 4 to 6 inches or 15 cm in height, the average mass for males is around 134 grams, and for females, around 117 grams. The Philippine Tarsier has a thick and silky fur  with colored gray or dark brown and thin tail which usually used for balance.

The Philippines Tarsier is usually called “the smallest monkey” but take note it is not really a monkey or smallest primate, though it is related to other primates, including monkey, lemurs, gorillas and humans but it occupies a small evolutionary branch between the strepsirrhine prosimians, and the haplorrhine simians.

Philippines Tarsier is also used to call as " Maumag " in Cebuano or Visayan. It is usually found in southeastern part of the archipelago, in the islands of Bohol, Samar, Leyte and Mindanao. And it usually gives attraction of some tourist visitors in these islands. This Philippines tarsier  indeed gives color to the nature.
